Candidasa located in east of Bali in the regency of Karangasem. The road reaches the sea just beyond the turn-off to Tenganan, about 13 km before Amplapura, and runs close to the coast through the small village of Candidasa. Candidasa is quite place to stay and cheaper then Sanur and good base from which to explore eastern Bali. Twenty years ago it was just a quite little fishing village. Two years later a dozen losmen and half a dozen restaurants had sprung up and suddenl it was the new beach on Bali. Many hotels have been erected from the simpel one to luxury.
